It is reported that Jundub b. ‘Abdillâh Al-Bajalî – Allah be pleased with him – was once asked for advice and instruction. He said:
I advise you to fear Allâh and obey Him (taqwâ) and I advise you to adhere to the Quran, for it is a light in the dark night and a guidance during the day, so implement it no matter how much struggle and poverty you have to face. If a calamity befalls you, put your wealth forward to protect your religion, and if the calamity continues, put forward your wealth and your life to save your religion [but never risk your religion], for the ruined is he whose religion is ruined, and the looted is he whose religion is taken. And know that there is no poverty after Paradise, and no riches after the Fire.
Al-Dhahabî, Siyar A’lâm Al-Nubalâ` 3:174.

Won’t you collect your Share?
Won’t you collect your Share?
Abû Hurayrah – Allâh be pleased with him – once passed by the market in Medinah. He stopped at the market and said, “O people of the market, how incapable you are!” They said, “And how is that Abû Hurayrah?” He replied, “Over there the inheritance of Allâh’s Messegner – Allâh’s peace and blessings be upon him – is being distributed and you are here! Won’t you go and take your share?” “Where is it?” they asked. He replied, “In the Masjid.” So they hurried to the Masjid and Abû Hurayrah waited for them until they returned. When they came back, he said, “What’s the matter?” They replied, “Abû Hurayrah! We went to the Masjid but we didn’t see anything being distributed.” Abû Hurayrah asked them, “And you didn’t see anyone in the Masjid?” They replied, “Indeed we did; we saw people praying, others reciting Qur`ân and others studying the regulations of halâl and harâm.” So Abû Hurayrah said, “Woe to you! That is the inheritance of Muhammad – Allâh’s peace and blessings be upon him.”
Al-Hâfidh Al-Mundhirî said in Al-Targhîb wa Al-Tarhîb, “Reported by Al-Tabarâni in Al-Awsat with a hasan chain of narrators.” Also graded hasan by Shaykh Al-Albânî. See his Sahîh Al-Targhîb wa Al-Tarhîb Vol. 1 p19.

As Salaamu Alaykum:
Has anyone been faced with distractions throughout the day? Not just the children... I mean our husbands. Have my sisters set a scheduleto study? If so, how has your husband reacted to your desire to study?
Do you notice any jealousy on the part of your husband for your desire to study with someone other than him? Do you have any practical advice to share? Anything that may benefit your sisters?
May Allah grant us ease. Ameen!
Sincerely:
Sister A'isha

So, please honor this request. So, as I promised, here is a small excerpt:
Memorizing Qur’aan for the Busy Housewife and Mother
By: Fatimah As-Salafy
Many of us would love to memorize the Book of Allaah.
After conquering our own self-doubt, we ask ourselves, “Where
is the time?” “How can I successfully and accurately memorize
the Qur’aan, maintain it, and apply it in my life?” Fear not,
however, as you are not the first wife or Mother to embark on
the path to memorizing Qur’aan. Many women before you have
done it, with a husband and children. This book is an attempt to
show you how to organize your time in a way that gives Allaah,
your studies, and your family their rights.
One day, an American student and I were sitting in front of
Shaykhah Umm Ahmad (Abdul Adheem Bin Badawi’s wife)
from Ash-Sheen, Egypt. We wanted to know how best to
utilize our time. How could we balance between our roles as
mothers, wives and students. Umm Ahmad is known to have
finished memorizing the Qur’aan in approximately 2 months.
So, she began to give us an example from her life. She said, “I
would wake up a little before Fajr and start cooking the
Sheikh’s meals for the day. Everything I could think of that he
might need in the course of the day, I prepared. While the food
was cooking, I would pray Tahajjud and also memorize some
verses from the Qur’aan. Then, I would gather all of his food,
wrap it and store it. After praying Fajr, I would sit to memorize.
I would not stop memorizing until I had completed the amount I
had given myself for the day. I would not even stop to eat. I only
stopped my memorization for salaah and if my husband needed
me. If someone came to the door, I did not answer. If someone
called, I did not speak with them. I had set my goal and I did not
stray from it for anyone, maa shaa Allaah.”
Now for some of us this is practical, especially if you don’t
have children. However, for us who have children, this method
won’t work. But, we can still take a few lessons from Umm
Ahmad:

As Salaamu alaykunna,
Thank you all so much for joining me. In shaa Allaah more and more women will come together to memorize Allaah's book. This is something so doable. However, I find that among us, we really don't think we can accomplish it. But it can be done. And in shaa Allaah we are going to follow the steps that it takes to memorize, even with small children, in shaa Allaah.
Was Salaamu alaykum,
Umm Abbaas

Imaam an-Nawawee said:
"So the first thing which he should begin with is the memorization of the mighty Qur'aan, which is the most important of the branches of knowledge.
And the Salaf did not teach hadeeth or fiqh except to one who had memorized the Qur'aan.
So when he has memorized it (Al-Qur'aan) let him beware of pre-occupying himself from it with hadeeth, fiqh or other things to the extent that it leads him to forget anything from the Qur'aan or make that likely."
[Al Majmoo' Sharhul Muhadhab (1/38).]
